Fellas emerged during the early rise of boutique PFP communities on Solana, standing among the first to gain notable relevance. Conceived as both an experiment in portraiture and a study in character design, the collection became a bridge between art and community — a gathering point shaped by humor, pop sensibility, and digital culture. The name, a casual nod to friendship and shared identity, reflects the spirit of the project: informal, self-aware, and rooted in the intersection of internet culture, music, and visual art. Each piece reinterprets the recurring ape figure that defines much of the artist’s universe, exploring individuality through repetition and variation. Initially released in small drops that sold out within seconds, Fellas later adopted an auction model that reached record sales. Around it grew a network of collectors — the highest tier of support within the artist’s world — who gained access to exclusive artworks, collaborations, and ongoing community engagement. Collaborations with artists such as Scum, Hyblinxx, Nolegs, Ben Bauchau, and Utopia further expanded the universe, each contributing their own version of a Fella. Beyond its format, the collection endures as a cultural node — a testament to how digital art can create belonging, spark dialogue, and turn collectors into participants in a shared creative world.
