A low end brew
*A Low End Brew* emerges from an ongoing dialogue between artist and machine — an exchange where intuition, rhythm, and technology improvise together. Built through a process that blends AI, collage, and illustration, the series explores what happens when authorship becomes a jam session rather than a solo act. Fragments of the artist’s own work resurface transformed, carrying the energy of A Low End Theory and Bitches Brew: two milestones where experimentation redefined form. Here, those echoes translate into color and movement — loops of thought, distortion, and response, where the line between human and algorithmic intention starts to blur. Each composition works like a track assembled from samples and gestures. The tension between chaos and control, pattern and improvisation, gives the series its rhythm. The palette vibrates with the heat of jazz and the pulse of 90s rap, holding together a visual language that’s vibrant, unpredictable, and alive. Presented in a 2023 group show in New York curated by J.T. Liss for Exchange Art and Bonk, A Low End Brew captures a moment of transition — where digital collaboration becomes a form of improvisation, and the conversation between human and machine finds its own kind of swing.
